Privacy Policy
Effective June 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how this website (drrauriebirch.com) handles information when you visit it. It applies to this website only. It is separate from the Notice of Privacy Practices that governs protected health information in the course of treatment, which is provided to clients directly.
Information this website collects
This is a simple informational website. It does not include contact or intake forms, does not require you to create an account, and does not directly collect personal information from visitors. It does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not track your activity across other websites.
Scheduling and contacting the practice
When you select “Get in touch” or “Current clients,” you are directed to the secure SimplePractice Client Portal, a separate platform operated by SimplePractice. Any information you enter there — such as your name, contact details, or messages — is handled under SimplePractice’s privacy and security practices and the practice’s Notice of Privacy Practices, not under this policy. For details, see SimplePractice’s privacy policy.
Third-party resources
To display properly, this site loads a few resources from third-party services, including web fonts (Google Fonts) and an interactive map (OpenStreetMap and CARTO). When your browser loads these, those providers may automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, device, and browser type, as described in their own privacy policies. These resources are used only to display the page — not to track or identify you.
Links to other sites
This website links to external sites, such as Psychology Today and government resources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not apply to them.
Protected health information
Your privacy as a client — including any information related to your care or treatment — is protected separately under HIPAA and the practice’s Notice of Privacy Practices. This website is not a secure channel for health information, so please do not send personal health details through it or by unsecured message. Use the secure client portal instead.
Children’s privacy
This website is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent version.
